How to Book

Registration

Please contact me using any of the methods listed on the Contact page, and if possible provide the following information:

  1. What is your goal? For example; to improve your English to get a better job
  2. How many lessons a week you think you need
  3. How long you need or can afford to study
  4. What days and times are convenient for you

PPP will respond to you any further questions or requirements needed to fulfil your request and my availability.

When details have been agreed, I will send you an invoice for the appropriate fees and details of how to pay.  

PPP can only commence lessons when full payment of fees has been received. 

Payment of Fees

Fees are quoted in Euros and must be paid in Euros.

PPP issues invoices at the end of the month charging for the next month with the amount of lessons already discussed and agreed. All bank transfer charges are to be incurred by you. 

Please send a payment receipt or confirmation to PPP when payment is arranged and PPP will confirm when funds are received.

Invoices must be paid in full before lessons can commence. 

At the start of our working relationship, you may have a trial lesson and PPP will invoice individually for this at the appropriate time.

Having Lessons

Lessons Timetable

PPP conducts lessons between the hours of 1pm and 9pm Central European Time (CET) from Monday to Thursday and 1pm to 5pm CET on Fridays.

Lessons are usually 1 hour duration, unless otherwise arranged by special request.  

PPP reserves the right to change hours of availability and lesson times at its discretion.

Lesson Materials

PPP uses lesson material from Linguahouse.com at the appropriate English level of the learner as well as other materials available to teachers online.

All materials used for lessons will be emailed to you either before the class for preparation or after the class for revision, at the discretion of PPP.

Inability to attend lessons - lesson cancellations

If a student gives more than 2 hours notice of being unable to attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, the student will be offered alternative times to reschedule the lesson or if a rescheduled time is not possible, a credit will be put towards the next invoice.

If a student gives less than 2 hours notice of being unable to attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, that lesson is forfeited and a credit or ability to reschedule will not be given.

If PPP is unable to attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, the student will be offered an alternative time to reschedule the lesson.

Holidays

Maltese Public/ National holidays fall on: 1st January, 10th February, 19th March, 31st March, Good Friday, 1st May, 7th June, 29th June, 15th August, 8th September, 21st September, 8th December, 13th December and 25th December.  It is at the discretion of PPP whether lessons continue or are rearranged for another day.

PPP may close for holidays at any time but notice will be given.

Extending your lessons

When you are close to finishing your invoiced lessons, I will ask whether you would like to continue with your lessons or to finish with me.  If you would like to continue, I will send you the next invoice and lessons can continue uninterrupted once this invoice has been paid.

Certificate

If you decide to finish your lessons, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance stating how many hours of lessons you have completed with me.  This certificate will be emailed to you as a pdf.

Legal Stuff

Cancellation Policy

This policy relates to cancellations before any lessons have commenced, otherwise please refer to the Withdrawal policy below.

All cancellations must be made in writing and sent via one of the methods detailed on the Contact page.

If fees have been paid, a 90% refund will be given less any bank charges.

Withdrawal Policy

No fees will be refunded for:

  • any student terminating lessons completely after they have commenced.
  • any student failing to attend lessons at the agreed times.

Complaints

If for any reason you are unhappy with your lessons or any other aspect of PPP, please speak to me in your lesson or send me a message.

If the issue cannot be resolved, no fees will be refunded.

Force Majeure

PPP is not liable in the event where it is unable to fulfil any service to which it is contractually bound because of fire, natural disaster, unusual adverse weather conditions, acts of government, labour disputes or other reasons which are outside its control.
